A unique photographic event incorporating a major exhibition and print sale plus photographic workshops for all levels and a guest lecture series featuring creative leaders from across the industry.

THE EXHIBITION
Celebrating the photographic creativity of 125 Magazine's contributors over the last decade, this is a major exhibition featuring the work of 100+ artists, each of whom have selected their most innovative pieces for public display in an eclectic range of sizes and framing styles.
All work is for sale with prices starting at £250.

THE LECTURE SERIES
On selected evenings throughout 125LIVE we will be staging ‘Creativity Talks’ a series of guest lectures from leading figures in the creative arts industry. Each evening will include an informal drinks reception and 3 guest speakers, the line-up is being added to as and when names are confirmed but already includes a diverse selection of artists, practitioners and creative industry leaders.

THE WORKSHOPS
Everyone owns a camera but how many people really know how to use one? 125LIVE will attempt to enlighten the public on the practical side of photography by running workshops and demonstrations for the beginner all the way up to advanced level. For the absolute beginner we’re running another of our popular photographic safaris, while intermediate level photographers and keen novices can take advantage of our introductory studio lighting workshops featuring live fashion models, and advanced level photographers can take the next step in their careers with our lighting master-classes and film directing introductory workshop.

KLAUS THYMANN

Story Telling in Image Making
We are very pleased to have Klaus to kick off the series, as a 125 contributing photographer and prolific creative producing fashion, portraiture, documentary and film work for a range of clients he is a deft photographic storyteller and has agreed to talk about the importance of believability and 'the story' in his image making. He'll share some of his key works both technically and aesthetically and explain how his more recent arctic explorations keep his creative juices flowing.

NINA MANANDHAR
Artist & Publisher
Nina Manandhar is an artist whose photographs and mixed media projects examine contemporary youth identity. She is also the founder of the ISYS Archive and The Cut. Her work has been exhibited at the Tate Modern, the Institute of Contemporary Art, and Exposure Gallery, all in London. Her first book, Money On My Oyster, was published in July 2013. She is the author of What We Wore A Peoples History of British Style, to be published by Prestel in November 2014.

BILL TURPIN
Prosthetic Make-up Artist
My Life in Latex
The term larger than life is often mentioned in relation to gregarious creative mavericks but Bill Turpin is literally the largest character that 125 has ever worked with, a giant of a man and a giant in the prosthetic make-up industry with 20 years of experience creating stunning prosthetics for film, TV, commercials and stills. Having originally studied art and design he went on to train in Theatre, TV and film make-up and over the years has been involved with big budget productions such as Saving Private Ryan, Band of Brothers, Gladiator, Clash of the Titans, Warhorse and wait for it...Revenge of the Swedish Bikini Team!

He has also worked with over 40 photographers such as Nadav Kander, Rankin, Dimitri Daniloff, Rick Guest, Tim Bret-Day and for 125 Magazine with Finlay MacKay and Max Oppenheim. He'll be sharing his work and processes with us and revealing the intricate partnership built up with the photographers he has worked with over the years.
